    Nunavut Golf Courses including
    golf accessories, packages and directories.
The Frobisher Bay Golf and Country Club is a temporary golf course recreated every year in the middle of the bay, disappearing with the spring melt. Playing the par 52, 18-hole course can be a challenge: despite the 14 hours of sunlight, the temperatures hover around minus 20 below centegrade and the wind is a brisk 30 kilometres per hour. Every year, the Peter Gzowski Invitational tournament for literacy moves between cities in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. The course is played on ice using coloured tennis balls. All proceeds go to support local and territorial literacy activities.

Inuit Art in Kimmirut - Local apple-green soapstone and serpentine soapstone are often used by the Kimmirut carvers

The highlight of the year's events is the Omingmak Frolics, a festival held in the third weekend of May that features a competitive seal hunt, talent show, snowmobile races, children's games, cooking and tea boiling, ice chiselling and fishing contests.

Another not-to-be-missed occasion is the music festival held in July as part of Nunavut Day festivities. Artists from across Nunavut perform music, old and new. Other activities include displays of traditional and modern northern fashion.
